We asked the 2018-2019 National Content Team about their favorite PJ Our Way books, and here is what they said!

Asa

My favorite PJ Our Way book is The Inquisitor's Apprentice by Chris Moriarty.
I like this book because it has just the right amount of suspense, action, comedy, truth, sadness, finding yourself, etc. I also know some about the setting, but not enough to dismiss the book.

My favorite PJ Our Way books are the Rabbi Harvey series by Steve Sheinkin.
I love how they mix comedy and Judaism.

My favorite PJ Our Way book is A Time of Angels by Karen Hesse.
A Time of Angels is my favorite PJ Our Way book because it has so many details and it is very interesting.
Ellery

My favorite PJ Our Way book is Under the Domim Tree by Gila Almagor.
Under the Domim Tree is my favorite book because it teaches valuable lessons about the importance of friendship in life.
Hanah

My favorite PJ Our Way books are Pickled Watermelon by Esty Schachter and Jesse's Star by Ellen Schwartz.
I like Pickled Watermelon because the story line is very clear, and the story feels (for me) as if it was written by a girl around Molly's age. Jesse's Star was a very exciting book, and I like how the necklace takes Jesse back in time.
Hettie

My favorite PJ Our Way book This is NOT the Abby Show by Debbie Reed Fisher.
I like how it is realistic and full of humor. I did not know a lot ADHD, but now I know that there are different types and some other facts. All the events seem like they could have really happened to the author.  She writes it with emotion. I really enjoyed reading it.

My favorite PJ Our Way book is The Adventures of Rabbi Harvey by Steve Sheinkin.
The Adventures of Rabbi Harvey is my favorite PJ Our Way book because it is really funny, there are multiple books in the series to read, and it can teach you about what could've happened in the Wild West while being humorous.
Joseph

My favorite PJ Our Way book is Echo Still by Tim Tibbits.
This is my favorite book because it shows a character's struggle between Judaism and athletics. It also shows what happens when you have these extracurricular activities, but you have Sunday school or Hebrew school. I also like this book because I can relate to it.

My favorite PJ Our Way books are the Rabbi Harvey series by Steve Sheinkin.
I love how Steven takes old Yiddish stories and makes them into Western tales.
Nathalie

My favorite PJ Our Way book is Takedown by Laura Shovan.
This is my favorite book so far because it is about a strong girl who fights through her problems in life, just like in her wrestling tournaments. It makes a point that wrestling is also for girls.
Rylee

My favorite PJ Our Way book is This is NOT the Abby Show by Debbie Reed Fisher.
This is my favorite PJ Our Way book because Abby is really similar to me. One reason is because Abby thinks that she is going to be someone one day and that she was born for the spotlight. Another reason is because Abby is the youngest and she kind of has her dad wrapped around her finger, sort of like me! Those are a few reasons why Abby is like me and why I love this book!

My favorite PJ Our Way book is The Path of Names by Ari Goelman.
The Path of Names is my favorite PJ Our Way book because the plot is very well made and has lots of twists and turns. This book also has many creatures that we don't know to exist today. It intertwines reality and fiction in a very interesting way. This book is unpredictable, and it keeps you at the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The Path of Names gives me a thrill every time I read it.
Xela

My favorite PJ Our Way book is A Faraway Island by Annika Thor.
This book is about sisters who have to go to Sweden because of WWII and they don't know if they're ever going to see their parents again. I like stories like this because they make me feel grateful for lots of things I usually take for granted.
Zoe

My favorite PJ Our Way books are Stealing Home by Ellen Schwartz and The Lamp of Darkness by David Mason with Mike Feuer.
I really enjoyed Stealing Home because it is inspiring to hear about 10-year-old Joey Sexton and his cousin fighting for what they know is right and not giving up, even though Joey is in a hard situation. In The Lamp of Darkness, twelve-year-old Lev is hired as a musician to play at a festival with the prophets when something goes wrong. The Lamp of Darkness had a certain feel to it that made me want to read on.
Eitan
Eitan, age 13, Teen Leader
My favorite PJOW book is Death by Toilet Paper by Donna Gephart.
I enjoyed reading this so much because the story is so down to Earth. This was such a fun book to read because of how realistic the plot was. This story touched my heart and would certainly do the same to a lot of people since it’s a situation anyone could be put in. This was actually the first PJOW book I ever read.
