“The book that caught my eye was Looking for Me … in this great big family by Betsy Rosenthal. Set in 1936, Baltimore, it is written in poems and is about a Jewish girl named Edith who is one of 12 siblings. She feels like she does not know who she is in her ‘great big family.’ The book is about some key events in her life that help her figure out who she is. It is an incredibly beautiful, bittersweet story and is certainly one of my favorite PJ Our Way books that I have ever read. I think it would make an enchanting movie, and the book is so beautifully written and descriptive that I do not think it would be too hard to put it into motion.
