⭐ ~Honorable Mentions~ ⭐
Charlie Thorne and the Last Equation
“I think Charlie Thorne and the Last Equation would make an awesome movie because it is action
packed with lots of plot twists. Plus, it’s also left on a cliffhanger, so people would want more!”
“Charlie Thorne and the Last Equation because it has a lot of action.”
-Ari, age 9
“Charlie Thorne and the Last Equation because it’s action-packed and full of adventure, which in my opinion makes for great movie content!”
-Isaiah, age 12
“I think Charlie Thorne and the Last Equation because it has a lot of action, and you often need action in movies to get a good audience.”
-Frieda, age 11
The Adventures of Rabbi Harvey
“I think that the Rabbi Harvey series would make a great movie because they are wise, witty, and hilarious to read. They would also make a great movie because there are three of them in the series so far. Another reason that I think that the Rabbi Harvey series would make a great movie is because it has Jewish values, and that is what PJ Our Way is all about.”
-Shia, age 11“Rabbi Harvey because there are a lot of short stories that can make a good comedy/western.”
-Jeremy, age 12
“I think The Adventures of Rabbi Harvey would make a great movie. It is already a comic with lots of pictures, so it might be easier to make. Also, it’s an amazing story and would make a very funny movie!”
-Mathew, age 11
“I think Rabbi Harvey would make a good movie because it's funny and he solves mysteries. I think lots of people liked that combination in the book and would like to see it as film.”
- Dinah, age 11
Operation Frog Effect
“Operation Frog Effect by Sarah Lynn Scheerger is the best book ever, and it’s got an interesting plot. It is super funny. I like how it has the perspective of all the different people in the story and it shifts between them. I can imagine it happening as a movie. I think kids would like it because the story is hilarious, moving, and relates to current events. I was surprised that it could be all these things at once, and that would make for a really good movie.” - Hadar, age 9
Too Far from Home
“I think Too Far from Home would be the best movie ever. It has a lot of describing feelings and not so much scenery. I think it would be very interesting to see how the scenery and people look to another person because it will probably be different from what I imagined. I also just love stories that you can relate to, and this is a story that a lot of people can connect with and enjoy.” - Ruby, age 10
Looking for Me
“The book that caught my eye was Looking for Me … in this great big family by Betsy Rosenthal. Set in 1936, Baltimore, it is written in poems and is about a Jewish girl named Edith who is one of 12 siblings. She feels like she does not know who she is in her ‘great big family.’ The book is about some key events in her life that help her figure out who she is. It is an incredibly beautiful, bittersweet story and is certainly one of my favorite PJ Our Way books that I have ever read. I think it would make an enchanting movie, and the book is so beautifully written and descriptive that I do not think it would be too hard to put it into motion. It is definitely a movie that I would watch!” - Hettie, 11
Sidetracked
“It was a really nice book, there were not too many special effects, it was easy to follow, and I could identify with Joseph for trying to reach a goal that seemed difficult.” - Mia, age 10
“Click Here to Start because it’s a good mystery, with three witty kids as the stars. It’s an adventure with a mystery and a bunch of great plot twists. I absolutely loves this book, and I think it would be amazing if it were a movie!” - Ella, age 11
Small Medium at Large
“I would really love to see Small Medium at Large as a movie. I think it would be fascinating to see the story of a girl who hears ghosts.” - Zoe, age 13
Now
I think Now would make a good movie because it combines comedy, history and reality perfectly. It is also dramatic.” - Amelit, age 10
“Now, because I think the flashbacks would be really cool.” - Isabel, age 11
Confessions of a Closet Catholic
“I think the best book would be Confessions of a Closet Catholic by Sarah Darer Littman, because it makes you think about your identity and it has a really good message behind it.” - Aya, age 12
The Book of Secrets
“The Book of Secrets because it is a really good book and full of action. The movie would be breathtaking!”
- Shayne, age 9
Queen of Likes
“The Queen of Likes By Hillary Homzie because I love books that I can relate to so I think it would be a great movie!” - Rose, age 11
12 before 13
“12 before 13 because it’s a great adventure for anybody.” - Talia, age 12
“I would do 12 before 13 because it is very relatable and has enough action to make the movie interesting.”
- Ellie, age 11
“12 before 13 because it has a lot of drama and it would be fun to watch with your family.” - Sylvie, age 10
Letters from Rifka
“Letters from Rifka because there is a journey and kind of an adventure.” - Ben, age 11
“I think that Letters from Rifka would make a good movie because there aren't enough movies about coming from Europe into America.” - Katja, age 12
Lily Renee, Escape Artist
“I think Lily Renee, Escape Artist would make the best movie. It is exciting and interesting. It teaches a lot about history. It has a journey in it, which is a theme for lot of movies. It's a comic book, which will give a lot of inspiration for the set and the characters. Almost everyone who read it gave it five stars, so a lot of people really liked it and would enjoy seeing a movie of it.” - Livnat, age 12

Wish I voted. "Now" would have been a perfect movie. I'm glad it at least got an honourable mention. But "Charlie Thorne & the Last Equation" is a great book too. So is "The Adventures of Rabbi Harvey". I know because I own both of them.
