I THINK THIS IS NOT OK for kids. Talking to the dead {or ghosts} is witchcraft . king Soloman was de-throned for going to a medium and talking to DEAD king David . WHAT ARE WE TEACHING OUR KIDS.

Awesome book!

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

I like how the book emphasized on the fact of even if there is someone has passed on, they are still in our hearts(and our ears!)It also emphasized how we can remember our relatives and their funny, unique, different, silly, inspirational, and lovable ways.

Awesome Book!!

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about friendship.

This deep and wonderful novel really touched my heart. While Lilah goes through all the normal middle school worries and excitements, she is also given this very special power to talk to dead loved ones and friends. Lilah has to deal with her mom remarrying, her dad doing nothing, and a really cute boy to impress, she learns hard lessons in ways you would never expect. I really recommend this book to everyone and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Out of this world!!!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

I really liked this book! I think it was really cool. Talking to ghosts and being able to communicate with dead family members is mindblowing. When I picked it out I have to admit, it sounded like a normal book that I would like but would not want to read every moment of the day, but once I started reading it I could not put it down. I read it in 2 days, even though I was at sleepaway camp. I can not wait to read more by Joanne Levy. Thank you PJ Ourway for letting me read this book!

What size of lightning rod would you like? Medium, please!

This book made me think more about friendship.

This book is awesome! Lilah gets struck by lightning and can suddenly communicate with ghosts, including her dead grandmother, who is trying to help her dad find someone to go out with. Some of them are very troublesome but some of them are helpful. And some are just plain embarrassing!

I would read more books by this author.

This book made me think more about friendship.

This book may sound a little young, or boring. You are very wrong! This book is very interesting, very fun, and I couldn't put it down! It is about a teenager named Lila who has powers to hear ghosts. The author actually makes that sound realistic. She got struck by lightning and can hear people like her music teacher's dead girlfriend and a famous fashion designer. She even hears her crush's father. Along with her best friend Alex, Lila goes on an amazing journey.

Very good - Must read

This book made me think more about friendship.

I really loved this book and could NOT put it down. (I was literally just reading it for 2 and a half hours) This is a good book for middle schoolers and 5th graders. lt was very funny with a bit of drama and l was laughing every few paragraphs. l like how Lilah is a normal girl. She has normal problems like real girls and isn't like super girly or anything.

not good to have boyfriends!!!

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about friendship.

The book is basically about a girl that got hit by lightning and because of that she can hear ghosts and they can help her sometimes but there mainly just annoying. She also has a crush on Andrew (Andy) and she yelled in public about his underwear because his dead dad tells her to. Then he asked her to the seventh grade dance. And... you know what you will have to see for yourself.

This book made me think more about friendship.

Lilah is struck by lightning at her mom's wedding. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing... it means she can talk to ghosts, including her Bubbe who just wants her single dad to be happy. Along with grandma, Lilah talks to an old friend of her music teacher's and a fashion designer as well as her crush's dad.

Talking to the beyond is beneficial... It helped Lilah's music teacher have the courage to pursue his music career. It helped her come to the rescue at the school's fashion show. And it helped her dad find someone he'd actually have a future with.

The author made the characters come to life... even the ones who weren't exactly living. Bubbe had a big personality and was hysterical as an interfering grandma from the other side.

Along the way, Lilah learned alot about herself. And she was able to turn her relationship with the school bully around. Lilah decided to help instead of hurt which just proved she was the bigger person.

Definitely made me LOL.. Loved it!!

This book is awesome

From Bougie, age 11, Washington, D.C.
“Small Medium at Large” is a fun read. It’s about a girl named Lilah who is a regular kid until she gets struck by lightning. Then she is able to talk to ghosts, but there is one in particular who talks the most: her “Bubby” Dora. To Lilah, it’s not scary, just a bit annoying. She’d rather have her life go back to normal. But there’s no chance of that with Bubby Dora talking in her ear, giving her advice about her dad’s dating, her crush, Andrew Finkel, and, well, everything! To find out what happens to Lilah, read the book.
