I loved this book!

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

In the book Yael has a bat- mitzvah and her friends come. What I liked about the book is that you can choose what happens in parts of the book--like when she either studies with Eli or tours her bat-mitzvah place with Cam-- you can choose what happens and it will tell you the event and the page to go to. It also reminds me of being Jewish because she is having her party of growing -up into a woman and all her non-Jewish friends and Jewish friends are coming to celebrate with her . Everyone in the whole 8th grade is coming, Jewish or not, boy and girls all gather for the celebration to confirm that she is now a grown woman and cane handle things herself and can make the right decisions and the right choices.
I recommend it to kids of all ages not just10+. It is a AMAZING book

LOVE IT

Thumbs up!

This book taught me more about Jewish holidays, rituals, and even food.

I really liked this book because it was exciting when you had to decide what would happen in the story. It was also hard to decide because she wanted to go one way, but her friends wanted her to do the other thing.

SO AWESOME!!

OK. This book was just... meh
I liked that you could choose some of the plot, but over all, it was not that good. Yael is well... let's just say I did not like her. She's always so embarrassed by her mom for things that really aren't that bad. I'm also not interested in who-likes-who and all that, so the plot was just boring and over-dramatic.

That said, I did sort-of want to keep reading. It was one of those books that makes you want to keep going even though it's bad.

So awesome

It was so awesome I want to start over and do it again and again for a different ending.

I liked this book.

I enjoyed the book. It was funny practical and really showed the way things are in real life. However I was not happy with how short the book was. I read the whole thing in one day. I also didn't like the amount of choices. There were only two choices. It seemed very black and white. Mostly do it or don't but no alternatives. I thought I was supposed to choose and I wasn't happy with the way some things went. Maybe I didn't want disaster or so much drama. Choose your own path books should have good things. If you give me three parts of the story, I should have three options (at least.) I was disappointed. Could have been better.

Fine book

I liked this book.

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

Really cool that you can choose what happens during the book. Think that it could be a little bit more interesting but overall it was a good book.

i love it!

This book was just OK

I liked how Yael's friends were pretty supportive of her, but I wasn't crazy about her mom, who was freaking out about the bat mitzvah. If a character can ruin an otherwise good book for you (I'm like that), then I wouldn't recommend this.

It was so fun to read!

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

I liked this book cause’ it was fun when I got to choose what she did, but... it had a lot of talking about boys which, I did not like very much but, I still give it a 5 STAR but it taught me a lot when I have my bat mitzvah.💯⭐️

UHHHH NO

This book made me think more about friendship.

First of all this a boring book and secondly there is hardly any choices I read the whole book and the lack of choices made me angry! I have a Scooby Doo book that has a lot more choices! If you like boring plots and spoiled girls then go ahead and read it :(

An amazing, fast-read book by Tamsin Lane.😉

I would read more books by this author.

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

Yael is nervous about her bat mitzvah. She only wants a family one .Yael makes artsy cards and her bat mitzvah is a big hit . Yael learns a lot about growing up, but still has fun!😊👩🧑🎁🍦🍕

Not very good.

The book was ok, but I never finished it because I was reading another book that is much more my style. The book got very slow at times. I would recommend not choosing it if you don’t like realistic fiction.

It had way too many things about boys. Pretty cool endings though.

I liked this book.

This book taught me more about Jewish holidays, rituals, and even food.

If you're crazy about boys, and in middle school its for you. But if you are not I would not recommend it.

THIS BOOK IS SO COOL! you can read it over and over and get a completely different story each time!!

This book was disappointing
Submitted 5/2/2019 by zoegrace

This book was okay. I didn't really feel like the plot was very developed. I was also a little bit upset about how manipulative Yael's mom was. I felt like the purpose of a bar/bat mitzvah was kind of washed away by this huge party. If love chose-your-own-adventure style books don't immediately pick this one. Think about if you like to hear about drama with boys, a huge party and more. If you do, you'll probably enjoy the book. If you don't, pick different one. If you pick this book, I really hope you enjoy it.

Okay

I liked this book.

In this book you get to choose what happens and it is your book! There are so many possible ways the story can go so you can read it over and over again and it is different each time.

Umm 😐
Submitted 5/1/2019 by 10232008

This isn’t a good book. I wanted to end the story in a certain way, but none of the endings were what I wanted. Also, I am not nervous about my bat mitzvah, or boys (no offense to boys, it’s the crushes that I hate). If it’s possible to friend on here, and you like this book, I automatically unfriend you.
NEVER READ THE BOOK.
Thanks for reading! If you read this, comment “green&black” (not the quote marks, just what’s in them) in this book’s section and tell me what you did and did not do.

cool

I would read more books by this author.

This book made me think more about friendship.

I loved this book in almost every way! It was so cool how it is never ending, so you could read this book over and over again, and always have a different story, which I think is awesome. Also, this book taught me a lot about friendship, and how important it is to keep alive. Overall, this book was a great one.

Rethinking "AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Submitted 4/24/2019 by leveygirls

At first, I thought this was one of the best books ever, but now I think it is not so good. It is hard to pick your choices because some don't actually work with other choices. It looks as if the author didn't think of all the possibilities. But if you like choose your own adventure style books, are nervous about your b'nei mitzvah (I am not), and are nervous about the party (I am), then this may be the book for you.

Pretty good!

I liked this book.

This book made me think more about friendship.

This book is OK. I think choosing your own adventure was fun and it is cool that you can read it again. If you like drama and boys, then you will like the book.

Thanks for reading!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Submitted 4/22/2019 by leveygirls

I loved this book! I only read it with one set of decisions, but the author was so good at this that you didn't want to read it any other way. I especially love how much it emphasizes the different elements of life, and what you need to think about for your bat mitzvah. I'm now feeling much better about my bat mitzvah (3 and three quarters to 4 and three quarter years from now), especially because I already can read Torah (phew), but it also made me think "What should I do for my party?" which is a question I still can't answer.
