Red menace

Review by Gabby2014

I did not enjoy the book as much as I thought it would . The book just wasn’t hooking me and I just couldn’t get myself to read or like it . I feel mean saying this but I definitely would not recommend this book to anyone it does not hook you and is not very interesting. Though I might not have a place saying this information because I did not finish the book but I got pretty far into it and it wasn’t getting any better . So overall I give this book a 2/10 I would not recommend

I really liked that he wrote ''letters'' to Micky Mantle. If you-yes you!- like baseball, court cases, or American history, YOU should read THIS book!!!!📖📕

A book full of tension, warmth, and humor

Review by LTinuviel

This is an excellent historical novel about a scary time in U.S. history. Marty's humorous voice helps to add lightness to the grim happenings, from the FBI officers spying on his family to the upcoming execution. I love how he wrote unsent letters to his favorite baseball hero...and how he too becomes a hero to a neighbor (I won't spoil it). There's a lot of technical references to baseball, but the book is so good that you'll enjoy it even if you have no idea who those old players were or what a shortstop is.
