"If I wear this, will people think I’m Jewish?” When her beloved grandmother, Nana, dies and leaves her a Star of David necklace, Caroline becomes curious about her Jewish identity. She thinks she might want a Bat Mitzvah like her best friend Rachel, but what is a Bat Mitzvah anyway, and what will her non-Jewish dad think?
I liked this book because it took place in modern time. I could understand what was going on with Caroline better because I could relate to it. My favorite part of the book was the sleepover because I could really understand and relate to what was going on and why the girls wanted to go and didn't want to go.
I would recommend this book because it helps you understand how to stick up for someone and how to be yourself which are all very important in life. Also, it was a really quick read.
