Me and my fam really enjoyed all of a kind family. So when we picked up this book and started to read, I was so bored I fell sleep! Would NOT recommend. There are much better books.

AMAZING 😉

I absolutely loved this book!!! 😍 The Family with Two Front Doors is mainly about the thoughts and emotions of a young Jewish girl ( the daughter of a Rabbi) when her older sister gets married to a boy she had never met. It is a great read and will keep you hooked the whole time with its suspense and occasional humor. I highly recommend it. 😉😎🥳🤩🤙✌️😍💍😊🥺👗

A Book You Simply Cannot Put Down!

Thumbs up!

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

The Family With Two Front Doors is about a large Jewish family whose eldest daughter, Adina, is the bride of an arranged marriage. Her betrothed is Mordechai, and Adina's siblings think he's really nice and funny, but Adina is nervous. How does she know she wants to spend her life with him?
The Family With Two Front Doors is a must-read, and a book I simply could not (and still cannot!) put down!

Amazing book! I read it over and over!

I am 9 years old and absolutely adore this book. I read it over and over. It told me what life was back in the 19th century and it grabbed me. It is a really good book. I really enjoyed reading it. There were a lot of details about the characters’ lives and I really enjoyed that. I highly recommend the book. I’ve read it around 50 times!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

This book was super good. It is one of my favorite books, and I hope they come out with a sequel. It reminds me of All of a Kind Family, which I like a lot also.

This book was just OK

If you are not interested in Judaism, you should not read this. (I am one of those people.)

This book was ok but I kept waiting for a big conflict to happen, and it never did.

This book was just OK

This book was cute and talked about family. However, it was boring and I don't agree with any of the characters. If I were you I would not read it unless you are trying to fall asleep.

You Should Read This Book!!!

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

This book shows how a religious family lived a long time ago and how they marry. The ten year old girl Nomi reminds me of my mom who is very sweet and generous. I recommend you read this book. You will enjoy it!

This book was just OK

I was uncomfortable with the way the men and women were so separate.

Just fine

I liked this book. However, I think it should be recommended to older age groups because of some of its contents. Another thing is that it does not fully resolve and/or have a "happily ever after" (in my mind, at least-- I'm not sure about the author's), which was REALLY annoying.

Very Fascinating

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

This book is about a family with nine kids. Their story takes place in the 1920s. One day, their father tells them that, Adina, the oldest daughter, is going to get married to a man she never met before.
This book teaches a lot about Jews a long time ago. I would recommend this book to ages 7-12.

Good

Thumbs up!

"The Family with Two Front Doors" is a very enjoyable book! It shows how Jewish law was many years ago. The author, Anna Ciddor, wrote about a girl named Nomi who has 9 people in her family including Miriam, Devorah, Esther, and Adina. Adina is 15 years old and is getting married to someone she has never met! The book is narrated by Nomi, one of the youngest of the sisters.

"The Family with Two Front Doors" is a fantastic book, but I would suggest it to older age groups because of some of the concepts included. From 1 to 5, I would give it a 5 for it is a book everyone would enjoy and read over and over again.

Anna Ciddor
Author of The Family with Two Front Doors

Anna Ciddor is from Australia. She grew up in a house without TV, so she and her sisters drew, wrote stories, and put on plays for fun. The Family with Two Front Doors is based on stories her grandmother told her about her own family. The character Nomi was Anna’s Nana Nomi!
