I loved this book!

Okay, I picked this book May of 2017 and I am writing this review on 11/24/18. During those 2 dates, I've read this (cover to cover) like 50 times because I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!! (I probably have it memorized by now.)
Karma loses her phone, named Floyd, which is such a big deal to her. She describes losing Floyd like "losing an arm or a leg." Her best friend Ella lends Karma her phone when Karma needs it. Karma isn't careful and their friendship is ruined.
Will Karma learn her lesson or will she go back to being "Bad Karma"?

Best Book Ever!!!!!

IMHO, This girl is such a brat. She's even counting the days without her phone. It's completely ridiculous and waaayyyy too dramatic!! It's so stupid. I don't recommend this book. AT ALL.

This book is on my top 10 list for most favorite books ever 5 stars and more

This book made me think more about friendship.

When Karma Cooper who is obsessed with her phone gets it taken away she doesn’t know what she is going to do. Suddenly her life starts changing very drastically she has to do community service. Her best friend starts hating her. She takes a photo class. And the popular girls she thought were nice turn out to be not so friendly. Then spirit week comes up, can she prove she is not worthless by winning her grade the spirit stick? Read this book it is great.

Pretty good!

Technically a three and a half star review. Some fun ideas and great dialogue made this book worth reading. Sometimes the main character was a little whiny and ridiculous. Okay book, worth reading.

I liked this book because it really gave a peek inside the life of a teen, and though the main characters choices may not have been the best ones, she learns a lot and comes around when her friends need her the most.

Really interesting!

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about friendship.

This was SUCH a good book! Karma Cooper, who is so obsessed with her phone she named him Floyd, thinks the only way to become popular is to be a star on Snappypic, but when she gets her phone taken away, she realizes it maters most to have good friends. This book teaches that everyone makes mistakes, and you can always learn from them. It also says friends will always be there to help you, even if your in a fight, you will probably make up. I would totally recommend this book to anyone who likes realistic fiction, and you should really read this. 1 more like for Karma!

I loved this book!

This was an AMAZING book! I totally understand how upset Karma is about her phone, but I get her parents reasons for taking it away. Using your phone in the bathroom during a bar mitzvah really is not the smartest move. This book is SO good that I read it once when I got it in May, read it a month later when I went to Camp Coleman in June, and read it again in maybe August. Don't listen when people say that it isn't good cause it totally is!

This book was amazing! I absolutely loved😍 it!

I loathe this book. Every time I pick up this book my head hurts. Not only that but it is the most boring book ever. Whatever you do don't choose this book!

Awesome and deep! (Not in the mariana trench, that'd be overkill, but still, deep)
Submitted 11/9/2017 by lostinabook

It has deep and wide perspective. When is there going to be a film on this book? It has to be recent, I'm dying for more. I too have a younger sibling, I'm 10 years old and totally understand what it is like to be caught up in something. What Karma deals with, I deal with my collection of books.

Great Book!

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about friendship.

I thought that this book helped tweens and teen age girls a lot. We can all relate to accidentally getting our friend in trouble, or having a device taken away. It stinks. However nice this book seemed, however, Karma's addiction to her phone is unhealthy, and the fact that she named it helps to show that. It does teach a good lesson about friendship, but considering that Karma had so many likes on what ever social media site she was on, made it seem like the only way to be liked, is to get likes. As we all know, this is not the case, but if an insecure teen read this book, they would easily feel very.... well upset. In this day in age, children rate themselves by their followers, or the number of happy emojies, or thumps up. I mean, no matter who you are, you have written LOL or OMG on a test before, and gotten points taken off. I have a VERY.... protective mother who lets me send twenty texts a day, and doesn't let me have social media. :( Even I've said LOL on tests. Nice job, Hillary Homzie, but just maybe put less... social media stuff. Thx! C, there I go. And again.

OMG AWESOME!

It was amazing. I loved hearing about Karma's first grade head shaving incident (the year of no hair)! It was so funny! Karma's a really popular seventh grader, but then her phone gets taken away! (at least she used to have one) Poor, poor Karma. Will Karma survive? READ IT!

Karma Cooper, 7th grade phone Snappypic user. Thanks to a STRANGE phone addiction, Karma gets her phone confisticated for good? Is she able to survive a normal teen life? I think this would be the BEST book ever, if it weren't so focused on a "What did you do to my phone?" kind of theme. I mean, Karma was so crazy, she even named her phone Floyd! But overall, a lovable book, with a friendship message!

This book did not REALLY say anything about Judaism. Sometimes they made Karma seem younger than she actually was, Karma's connection to her phone threw me off, and the ending was quite cheesy. Then again, maybe this book just wasn't my style...

This book made me think more about friendship.

Today I finished a book called Queen of Likes. It was really, REALLY good. I would give it a 10 star rating. I got the book from PJ Library. It was a PJ Our Way selection. Anyway, it was about a teenage girl in 7th grade, and her name is Karma Cooper. She is OBSESSED with her phone, and would do almost anything to keep it from getting it taken away, even lie. So when her mom finds out that she has broken the rules again and goes on her phone during a bar mitzvah, she loses her privilege of being on it at all: so her mom takes her phone away. For a while, she thinks she will die without her phone. She even borrows her best friend, Ella's, phone. But slowly Karma realizes that she can live without her phone. She takes a photography class, and then she gets very interested in photography. She snaps about everything she sees. One day, Karma gets caught using Ella's phone. Ella's phone gets locked away, until her parents sign a note saying that she can have her phone back (and Ella's mom, being a very strict person, gets very mad at Ella), Karma gets in school suspension, and Ella becomes so mad at Karma that she isn't her friend anymore. Karma gets so upset, she then feels as if she were the thing in life that everybody hated and avoided. But she soon finds out many more things, and she gets to talk to Ella, too. What will happen to Karma? What will happen to her friendship with Ella? Will Karma get her phone back? Read the book to find out!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

When you look at this book, it looks very much like a book about drama with boys and drama with friends but it is actually a really good book.

Queen of Likes was definitely something I will never read again. I thought the idea of the phone was something not that good.

Thumbs up!

This book made me think more about friendship.

So real, and amazing teen drama. So full of things that most teens go through. Carma makes her life especially interesting, though. One flaw. This doesn't matter to me, though. But it might to some people. This doesn't talk about Judaism, at least, not really. Sure, she is a Jewish girl, studying for her bat mitzvah , but they don't even say anything, about when she is actually studying. But still read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZINGLY GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't stop READING

This book made me think more about friendship.

Great book. You'll really like this book if you know what it feels like to not have your phone or electronic device in sight. Really interesting book, actually, because I'm really into technology too and it's like death to not have it. The main character just happens to be Jewish, so not much Jewish learning going on there, though, which was ok with me.

I LOVED IT

This book made me think more about friendship.

I think it's a great book for kids eight and up, or for seven year olds who love to read. It's about a girl named Karma Copper who is obsessed with her phone. She is in the bathroom on her phone at a bar mitzvah when her phone gets taken away by her mom...

I loved the book Queen of Likes. I never wanted to stop reading it and it definitely taught me more about how your family is important and not just your phone. But, if you do not like history, this book might not be the right one for you because there is a little bit of history included.

This book really made me think about how you don't just need your phone. Karma was used to using Snappypick and she learned that she didn't need people to LIKE her pictures if she liked them. She also started using a camera instead of a phone and made some new friends along the way.

It's the best book I ever read!

This book was so good!
It reminded me the importance of friends and family.
I like that it teaches you that you can live without technology (in this case Karma's phone).
12 year old Karma Cooper is addicted to her phone and Snappypic and has more followers than anyone else in her school. But when her mom takes away her phone and shuts down her Snappypic account only to replace it with a flimsy flip-phone only for emergencies how will she survive?

I thought that this book was OK. I can, however, really relate to Karma; going through the stress of Middle School when you have to think about everything a lot more seriously. I recommend this book for kids ages 10-13, and think that you will really enjoy it if you read it.

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about friendship.

I think this book was really good and that you should focus on friends and family more and not just your phone or Snappypic or Instagram or Snapchat or anything like that or ANY electronic device. I felt very bad for Karma when Ella was mad at her. I have a very close friend like Ella and Karma, and we are probably better friends then then Ella and Karma were. We have known each other since pre-school, and we've never ever gotten in a real fight, only our silly little friend fights like: silly arguing, but we are great friends. I love her so much and she is the best friend anyone could ask for!!

This book made me think more about friendship.

The book is about, a girl named Karma is super attached to her phone, Floyd. After an "incident" at her synagogue, her iphone gets taken away from her. Karma doesn't know who she is without her snappy pic. After a few days without Floyd, she gets nominated the publicly chair of spirit week. Now that she's phone-less, she constantly takes her BFF, Ella's iphone. One day, the principal takes it from her. Ella is so mad at her, that she "un-BFF's " her. How is Karma going to survive without snappypic, without a BFF, and being the publicly chair of spirit week? Read, The "Queen of Likes" to find out!

Happy Reading! :-)

This book is sooo great! Couldn't put it down. I always needed to know what happened next. All though some parts were mentioned through rumors, but not actually told in the story, I loved how I had to figure out the end of the story with my imagination.
Will she dance with Auggie? Or will she say no? Or will he even ask her?
I had to use my imagination for this part and I can see Karma not using Floyd that much and totally dancing with Auggie. But ill never know for sure! ;)
I know i will read more books by this author and the books recommended in the back of the book.
I really recommend you read this book.

Karma Cooper is the main character, and she has a problem. She is addicted to her phone that she named Floyd. She learns to not be so addicted to her phone in this book, and she has a big consequence that happens after she breaks some rules. How will she survive after the consequence happens? This book taught me more about B’nai Mitzvot.

This book tells the story of a 7th grade girl, Karma Cooper. She's a pretty normal person, except, after an incident at her temple, her phone (Floyd) gets taken away! The worst part is, she gets picked to be the publicity chair of the 7th grade spirit week team! Karma asks herself how she will do that without social media?
Can Karma lead life without a phone?
