Submitted 7/8/2017 by Origamingo

One of the worst books I've read in a while
"Comedy" means "why did the chicken cross the road". The lies: "loves matzo balls?" NOPE! Brings up the matter once or twice. "He plays" um, more like grabbing Grandmas wool fakely ONCE! And everything else about it is lame! It also took me less than half an hour to READ A 18-CHAPTER BOOK! Bottom line- this book is trash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good, Easy Read

3 months ago, when I selected this book, I looked at it and I laughed at the cover. I selected it without thinking about how many pages there were. 2 months ago, when I got it, I was like,
"Whaaat?"
So that night I read the whole thing. In 10 minutes. I know I selected "This book made me think about the importance of the family," but only because I couldn't select the phrase " This made me think more about how many pages there are. If you are going to select this book, please note: without pictures, this book would have 32 pages.

This book has great comedy and humor!
Submitted 9/2/2015 by Design Team

Mitzvah the Mutt takes place in a small town in modern times. Mr. Rubin, a pet shop owner, originally owned a dog named Mitzvah. When he moved to a new apartment complex they had a rule that no pets were allowed, so he had to give up Mitzvah. The Burger Family adopted Mitzvah, which was ironic because Mitzvah’s favorite food was hamburgers. The book, which is told from Mitzvah’s perspective, is very funny because Mitzvah does not understand some human words. Mitzvah finds it very strange that humans keep saying “woof, woof” to him. Read Mitzvah the Mutt to find about how he had a ball with Matzo balls!

This book was an easy read filled with humor and comedy. I would recommend this book to children who like dogs and are curious about what they are thinking.
by Max, age 11, Missouri

a hilarious, must-read book!
Submitted 9/2/2015 by Design Team

Mitzvah the Mutt was a hilarious book. The story was told from Mitzvah (a dog’s) point of view. Mitzvah did not understand most of what humans do. The dog thought that matzo balls were simply tennis balls that taste good. It is funny to read other thoughts that Mitzvah has such as his constant thoughts about hamburgers, and his misunderstanding about what Woof-Woof means. Mitzvah the Mutt is a must read, hilarious book. Curious why the dog’s name is Mitzvah? Read the book to find out.

Do you like animals? If you do, this is the book for you. It is a great book and if you want to learn about it, you should watch the video. My favorite part of the book was when a Jewish family adopted Mitzvah the Mutt. The family who adopted Mitzvah the Mutt lost their daughter, and Mitzvah the Mutt found Rivkah by using his nose.

Fantastic!

"Mitzvah the Mutt" is well written, very funny, but too short. Younger kids or reluctant readers would find this easy to read. If it were longer, I would have given it a five star rating. This is an unusual book because it gives a dog's opinion on Jewish holidays and food. Most of the funniest parts are about food!

Hilarious and exciting
