I noticed that in this book it mentions the struggles of a regular person and makes you feel that you are not alone. While I was reading the book, I was really curious to know more about Ben what his life was like.

It also talk a lot about Hanukkah and the hanukkah story really well.

This book also reassures me about being myself.

I thought this book was the best beacause it taught me two lessons. Some good ones.

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

I actullay learned two lessons in this book. One, was that in a game, its not about winning the game. Its about playing the game, and having fun. Two, was that always stand up for your family, and they will stand up for you.

I wouldn't bother reading this.

It is an okay book and really pulls you in if you like action, but it is also about handling feelings and the ending is very bad and disappointing.

Good?

Thumbs up!

This book made me think more about friendship.

It's fun to learn about the story of Chanukah and also fun to play soccer. In soccer you show teamwork by passing the ball and shacking hands and congratulating the other team for working hard. chanukah is not all about getting presents it's abought spending the time with family and thinking about the miracle of of Chanukah. (Fun fact: the miracle of the candle was a seven days and one of the candle represents the Miracle of the war. )

This book was just OK

This book taught me more about Israel.

The Eagles have just made it in to the final soccer game! Ben has hoping for this moment the entire season. Thats until he finds out who their defender is. Travis Tank, the toughest and meanest player. Is it possible for Eagles to win the championship?

I liked this book.

I liked the book because of the lessons about teasing. He played like a Maccabee. And he was happy about playing soccer and how he played. He was brave and kept standing up to the boy on the opposite team who was mean to him.

I would read more books by this author.

This book taught me more about Jewish holidays, rituals, and even food.

Like a Maccabee really made me think about the true meaning of Chanukah and how it effects your every day life. A soccer team against a really hard soccer team relates to The Maccabees against Antiochus and his army which was a whole lot bigger than the Maccabees. This book teaches you that if you try, then your a winner even if you lose. A must read for all.

I LOVED IT

Submitted 12/1/2016 by Starwars06

I liked this book.

This book taught me more about Israel.

The book didn't really teach me more about Israel. There are only 6 choices and I thought it would be the best answer to put down. Judging from the cover of the book, you kinda guess that it will have something to do with a Maccabee and a soccer game. I took the quiz and found out that the kid's name is Ben. Not that very interesting if you ask me. This book is 115 pages long + they say this book is for ages 8+! And besides, the name Eagles isn't that good of a soccer team name

No one likes a bully...

I like this book because I like sports. I like that it doesn't turn out like I thought it would but it is still good.
