This book made me think more about being Jewish.

Jussy is a good imitation of how kids are today. Being discouraged from her parents from being Jewish, Jussy decides to be catholic. Soon something happens to her Bubbe and Jussy has to tell her parents the truth. This book was one of the best books I've read and it taught me how if you change a little bit you can always make your life better. Sarah Darer Littman thank you so much for writing this book it made me think so differently about being Jewish.

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

Confessions of a Closet Catholic was a great book. Justine Silver has to figure out which religion she should accept, Christianity or Judaism. She has to hide the fact that she is getting VERY interested in Christianity from her family members because they're Jewish. Her bubbe even survived the Holocaust. She is confessing in her closet to "Father Ted", her teddy bear, who she pretends is a priest. She even goes as far as saying the Hail Mary and taking Communion--with matzah and grape juice. When something happens to her bubbe, she begins to think more deeply about leaving Judaism. I strongly recommend this book!

Horrible, Boring, Terrible

This book is a story about a girl who is Catholic and Jewish. Her parents give her the choice of which religion she wants to follow. Don't atomatically guess- there are many twists and turns throughout the course of the book.

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

After reading this book, I realized that being proud of your religion...Jewish or Catholic... will make you a better person in life. I was a little upset during part of the book, but I am sensitive to things like that. Some parts I thought were a little, uh, inappropriate, but were still OK. Read this book!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

Helps me think about the good things about being truthful. It is really a good book do not judge it by it's cover.

The book was pretty average.
Submitted 3/6/2017 by meawesome2

This book was just OK

The book was a a good book but what got to me was her ability to go and get a full chocolate bar out of the cabinet when ever she wanted. If her mother wanted her to be healthier why didn't she take away the chocolate bars, even her newly met friends gave her chocolate. Also by the book was almost over the book was just dragging on and on to the point where I just wanted it to be over.
And the writing style was almost boring, the book idea was pretty good but the way the idea was conveyed changed my perspective

AWESOME BOOK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about being Jewish.

I have a lot of Jewish friends, and I have a lot of not-Jewish friends. I've always felt upset that my house was always the dark house at Christmastime, and there were times that I have wanted to be Catholic, but then I saw the joy in Judaism and I then decided that I could manage the pros AND CONS of Judaism and that it was my religion and I am proud to be Jewish.
