This sequel to THE DOLL SHOP DOWNSTAIRS is a touching, heartfelt, warming book. It explains how hard it is to be an immigrant. You always stand out. It will definitely make you feel good to read this!

This is a great book.

Thumbs up!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

It also made me think about Jewish history.
This book isn't what I would call my favorite book, but it's good. I recommend this book to anyone who likes stories about immigration. Actually, I just recommend this book to anyone who likes a good book.

Best book ever!!!!!!

Thumbs up!

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

I think this book was AWESOME, but I do agree that is was too short and not as exciting as the first one. I like long books because then the excitement builds, and then you can also enjoy it for longer. Despite my criticism, I would definitely recommend this book!!!

TOTALLY WORTH READING IN YOUR FREE TIME!!!

I loved this book!

I read this book in 2 days, just because I loved it, not because I'm a fast reader (which I'm not)! It made me think about family and friendship and how that can get all mixed up (like in this case, with cats). I really loved this book and would recommend reading it whenever you can (Or like I did, in the middle of class) :D :P!!!

Loved it

I loved this book!

This book taught me more about Jewish holidays, rituals, and even food.

I love this book! I love cats and this book was all about them. It made me realize how good we have it in this country. In other countries, that are poorer and in worse condition, people may not have the same chance to have all of the nice things that we have. This book was very interesting and I read it like three times already, and plan to read it about 100 more!

So good!

I would read more books by this author.

First of all, this book is very well written and has a great story line. I think that if you like cats, and you like to read great stories, you will like this book. The only complaint I have is that is was too short! I would say more, but I don’t want to spoil the book. You’ll have to read it for yourself!

It was pretty good but short

I would read more books by this author.

The reason I said I would read more books by this author is because I read the first book and loved it.
I didn't like this as much as the first book.

Also this one was short and I wish it were longer.

I am not really a cat person, but I still really enjoyed this book. It is an amazing story and I would definitely recommend it. I especially loved the heartwarming connection between a stray kitten and an eleven-year-old immigrant from Russia (Anna's cousin).

This book was just OK

I would not even bother reading this book. Nothing interesting happened in it. it was just about cats and I am more of a dog person. It also talked about this unsanitary girl. I would not recommend reading this book.

Awesome!!!

You'll feel all emotions from reading this book. It tells the story of how Anna, her cousin who left Russia, and their family saved two cats. The story takes place during the early 1900s in NYC. You should totally read this book! You'll LOVE it!!!

This book was SO CUTE! Could NOT put it down. The basic plot: Anna finds a stray cat , only 1 of it's kittens survives😢😭😭😭😭, and Anna has to care for them secretly because her dad won't let her have a pet!!!😱😱😱😱😱SO INTIMIDATING!!! I recommend this book for kids 10+, but anyone will enjoy it.

This book made me think more about the importance of family.

I read the first book and I loved it so the second one was kind of disappointing because it wasn't as exciting

Really good book.

I would read more books by this author.

I really liked this book and if you read the Doll Shop Downstairs, then you'd really enjoy this book. It is a little different than the last book. On my recommendation I would read that first book because it will help you understand a little bit better and it will give you some background information. If you are considering this book and have not read the other book I would wait on this one and get the other one then get this one right after you've read the other book. This book is historical fiction. I loved it. It is not just about cats it's also about a cousin who had been in europe in world war two and her weird habits.

Great book!!

I loved this book!

I love this book because I thought that the book was very inspiring! It taught me how to act and about helping cats. It also taught me to learn to accept people that you may not be the best of friends with.
I would totally lend this book to a friend, especially if they had trouble being inspired or needed logic in their life.
