What the Book Is About
Fourth-grader Chaya Ann Tober loves cats and really loves that her own initials happen to be C.A.T. While encouraging her super-finicky cat Ollie to try some new cat food, she surprises herself by eating a small nibble (“Did I really just do that?”) – but the biggest shock comes when she wakes at midnight and finds she’s turned into a cat! By morning Chaya is human again – could it be the cat food? Wild adventures with Ollie and the other neighborhood cats follow, and soon Chaya’s older brother Danny joins in the nighttime fun. Set in New York City, this fun, fast-paced tale with cheerful illustrations will entrance cat fans.
