May 2nd is Yom Ha’atzmaut – Israel Independence Day!
We asked PJ Our Way kids, “What do you love about Israel? What would you like to see if you visited Israel?”. Click here to see what they said.
Sarah Pearl "My favorite thing about Israel is that it is the Jewish people's country. The Jews have to fight to protect their country, but in Israel we can practice our religion freely and not worry about where to live. Jews from around the world always have a place to go in case of emergencies.” |
|
Noah “If I went to Israel I would like to go to the Dead Sea because I think it would be cool to float in it.” |
|
Aaron “When I go to Israel, I want to see the Dolphin Reef near Eilat. I love dolphins! They leap and spin and do tricks and are just so loveable! I am looking forward to this because dolphins are my favorite animal. They are cool because they are intelligent, conscious, and know how to adapt to the world around them. I also want to see Nimrod Fortress (quite a funny name but looks really awesome).” |

Sarah "I would like to go to Israel because I have learned a lot about it at school, so I think, it would be fun to go there. One thing I would like to do in Israel is visit my pen pal because I have never met him. Another thing I would like to do is to visit a park that my Hebrew teacher talked to me about that has a cow with a lot of tongues that are slides. Also, I would visit a city called Caesarea because my teacher told me that it is very beautiful. I am very excited to visit all these places when I go to Israel with my family this May, and I bet I will see many more places." |
Last year we asked our Design Team what they think of when they think of Israel. Click here to read their answers.
