This book made me think more about friendship.

The book has a lot of feelings. You also learn a lot about black rights movement in America

Just OK

This book was just OK

This book talks about a long time ago - I can't say it relates to Judaism, more about the Jim Crow laws and the japanese war. It was too short and not detailed.

Not the best book

This book was just OK

It was really boring at first, then got ok.
I wouldn't recommend it.
Just a really slow book, too much detail and not very interesting.
Disappointing and not what I expected from the summary.

Great but short

This book is really good but I feel like there could have been so much more to Susie’s story. It felt like it ended way to quickly. Then again, I feel that way with a lot of books. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes historical fiction.

short but sweet

Awesome book. It teaches us about the hardships black people had to face in the Bus Boycott movement. Susie Q. is a determined girl, and in the end she gets what she wants.

She is so determined.

This book made me think more about friendship.

I love how determined Susie is. All she wants to do is help other people. She isn't afraid of anything and while other people step down she is stepping up.

This book was just OK

I read it but it was so boring, and the print was small. And through the book it was like BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Pretty good book, kind of confusing

This book made me think more about friendship.

This book made me think about how the Jim Crow laws were very unfair. Susan gets very angry when she learns about segregation and wants to do something about it. This book hooked me because I wanted to keep reading and find out what Susan was going to do.

I liked this book becauae it taught me a lot about what it was like in america during WW11. Along with that, it was really interesting, and a good example of how even if you do something small, it still matters.

This book made me think more about friendship.

I really liked this book because even though I knew a lot about civil rights this really showed a way kids could help.

This book was good but a little bland and boring.
Submitted 3/7/2018 by AllStarBaseballGirl

I liked this book.

I learned more about Jewish history from this book.

I wouldn’t recommend this book to a friend. It is a little boring and bland. It also lacks detail in important events and adds detail in unimportant ones.

not interesting or exciting whatsoever
Submitted 3/6/2018 by joyfulnoise

I don't think that Susie should get much credit the way the story is written i think Susie has a lot to work on. There are a few books on pj that are like this, basicly the hero\heroine doesn't really act Jewish
I mean she's not really proud of her heritage or anything, being Jewish isn't just part of life it's a strength its part of us past down from generation to generation and we should be proud of it no matter what.

Civil rights movement? Fighting for rights!
Submitted 3/6/2018 by lightandjoy

I would read more books by this author.

I learned more about Jewish history from this book.

Too short, (sometimes it is good too get short books because that is how you learn things,) but it is a good book and you can learn things from it even if it is to short, that is the thing that matters. 👍 I have actually experienced having to move away from friends a lot! I have moved to six different places, and with each one I leave friends and people who are not friends.
Thank you, PJ our way!
