This book made me think about Jewish history because there was a big war that Israel participated in 1967. I thought that it was interesting that the people had to go into bomb shelters under buildings when the war started and that the kids ran home from the bomb shelter in their school. This is a great book but a little bit sad. i don't want to tell you why because that will reveal too much. Read it to find out more about the Six-Day War.

a fun way to read about the six day war

I loved this book!

This book made me think more about friendship.

I read this book in two days! I am glad I chose this book out of all the others. People who risk their lives to save others, win a war, and a cat that saved two people! It is amazing to see how animals and people can save someone's life or more. Thank you for the book, pjourway.

I liked this book.

This book taught me more about Israel.

This was a good, informative, interesting book that showed the Six-Day War from the perspective of a character that experienced the war as it happened, as well as reminding us that many people died in he war. I think that the author did a good job portraying a young Israeli child eager to be a hero, and fit in other characters that form unlikely bonds. I think that it is also good that the author didn't quite mince the main character's sibling's death, thus showing us that not everything was all fun and games.

Tammar Stein

Author of The Six-Day Hero

“I am addicted to books!”

Tammar Stein has one dog, speaks two languages, and has lived on three continents, in four countries, and five states. When she was nine she wanted to be the first woman astronaut on Mars, and then she wanted to read books for a living, but finally she decided that being an author was the best career. Her favorite kind of book is one that stays with you for a long time after you finish reading it. The Six-Day Hero definitely does!
