If you like learning about other kids like you, but in the past then you'll love this sad and funny memoir! The author really showed what life was like during the Cold War. The illustrations were funny and detailed. I would definitely recommend this fun Jewish-Russian-American book!

I borrowed this book from my school library and finished it wanting more. The story is not only fun to read (and filled with hilarious illustrations), but teaches a lot about what Russia was like during the Cold War and its relationship to America. I would definitely recommend this book!
