In this book, Jose escapes from Captain DeGuzman, and becomes a Jewish pirate. Unfortunately, Jose's father dies in the book. 😐 But, in general, Jose and the Pirate Captain Toledano is a very good book. 🙂

This was a great and exciting book with great graphics!!! One of those books that you just can't put down!!! I really liked the end where he gets to learn and use his fathers cup!!! Great story!!!
