This book showed me how much Israelis were hated by there neighboring countries hated them. For only being 6 days a lot of people died. God's hand was present protecting Israel from being destroyed.

This book taught me about the importance of family. I learned that even if you live in the shadow of an older, or even younger, sibling, you will always love them, so if you're in a situation like Motti is in, enjoy every little moment with them. No matter what, they will always be your sibling.

The Six Day War by Tammar Stein is a fascinating novel and a fantastic book about the Six Day War. The story starts right before Egypt attacks and showcases life before and during the six days of fighting. Although the main character thinks he is not a hero at first after during each day he learns what it means to be a hero from a kind old German lady who had to start over after World War II to a Ethiopian priest who teaches the main character about the value of loving God. This book blends action with actual facts about what happens and manages to make a fantastic novel that teaches you history and also teaches you the value of having Courage.

I was glued to the book from the second I got it, and through tears and laughs, finished it in under 12 hours. I felt like I was the characters in the book, like, I took a trip to Gideon's battle, or Mama's famous home cooked dinner. I learned so much from this book, and would definitely love reading more from this amazing author with very talented writing skills. This book made me realize, that your time on Earth is precious. Live your life to the fullest, and never go to bed without a smile. Even in times of war, the people of Israel were singing and dancing and just smiling. I really loved this book, and I will tell anyone who asks, this was a great book and YOU (yes, you, who else would I be talking to????) should read this fantastically written and thought out book, to bring you back to Israel, during the time of the Six Day War.

I never heard of this war before reading this book. The Jewish people stood strong while being surrounded by people who wanted them gone. It amazes me how God protects the Jewish people like he protected the Israelites. I appreciate my family and the military even more. Very good book!
