when Shirli auditions for a school play "fiddler on the roof" and gets in she asks her grandfather to search his attic for props and cloths she comes across a old violin case... with a sad and exciting back story. And not to mention Shirli meets one of the most popular boy in the school. This book has so many important parts, it's a hard book to stop reading it also has many emotional parts. This book is an amazing journey through Shirli's eyes. Shirli's grandfather's past is tragic, and amazing to learn. And Shirli and Ben finding each other through the play is just FANTASTIC! If you are into hard-to-put-down books that have great history, I definitely recommend this! I hope you have a good journey into this fabulous book.

I liked how the grandfather told his story to future generations.
