it was fun learning about the Soviet Union how life was really like there behind the scenes!

So good. I loved it so much. It was so heart wrenching, and wholesome, I don't know if I can find a more emotional book than this. There are some scenes that are kind of tense and just so emotional. There were also some parts that all you had to do was read a chapter and you'd be super happy for the rest of the day. I love the characters, the plot, and practically every aspect of this book. The only thing I didn't like was that it was so short! It's definitely not the best for younger readers, but I would really recommend it to kids 10+. *WARNING: There is some child abuse in this book*

The Blackbird Girls is really good! Full of adventure, mystery, and friendship. Would definitely recommend but it is kind of sad.
