I love how Imani learns to accept and be handful for her family, while reading about a fellow adopted child. I love how she gets to think about the world from a different point of view!

I absolutely loved this book. I have already recommended it to a bunch of my friends. Here’s a quick summary if you are think about reading it: Imani’s great-grandmother just died, and one of the things that Imani gets from her great-grandmother is this diary. The diary was written during World War II, and is a bit intense, but that shouldn’t limit your choice for reading this book. As Imani reads he great-grandma’s diary, she also wants to learn about her own birth parents (Imani is adopted). So . . . after that lengthy summary, this is my final review: #totally_worth_your_time!

Made me see a whole new perspective

After reading this book I wished I had some secret relative to discover ! Awesome book!
