Tara Feinstein is an Indian/Jewish/American girl that doesn't know which way to turn. She has trouble deciding if she should have a bat mitzvah, because she doesn't want to betray her grandfather and lose her Indian side. Along with this is mixed in boy troubles and enemies that might just turn into frenemies. This is a great book for girls 10 and up. Boys might not like it as much, as it is centered around a girl, but it really depends what you like. This book perfectly blends both her Indian and Jewish cultures and the author, Paula J Freedman, uses words that really help me get sucked into the atmosphere of the book. This book is one of my favorite books I got from PJ Our Way!!! I think that pretty much everyone would LOVE this book.

This Was Really Interesting And Informative

This book taught me what it means to have different cultures that you grow up with. Tara Feinstein, the protagonist, goes through a lot because she is Hindu and Jewish. Her two futures collide, and things are a little crazy at her house. But, she also has some problems—love life troubles! Can she do her bat mitzvah, figure her love life out, and make new friends? If there's one thing this book tells you, it that Tara Feinstein never backs down!
