I did not really like this book. While the plot is interesting enough, I really did not like the style. It felt that the writer was telling, not showing, a lot of the time, and I also felt a bit like the book wasn't getting anywhere in the first few chapters. I never managed to finish it. I personally do not recommend this book to anyone.

This was a very cool book! It's so interesting how it takes place in New York a long time ago. It makes you think about how life was like back then.

I suggest this book to people who like reading historical fiction!

I gave this book five out of five stars because when I read it, it made me think back on my Yiddish roots in Russia and in Poland. It made me unlock the door to the history of my family.
