I think it's cool how the author incorporated rich history and a good story! It show what being a jew was like in the new world. AND THE PIRATES!

This book was meh. It was a quick read and all the action happened all at once. If you don't like pirates and adventures and short chapter books then don't choose this book😒

It was kind of stunning when José joined the pirates! The illustrations are very detailed and it's an interesting story. José can speak five languages! It was pretty mean when the men called him an over-educated freak.

It was awfull. it was hard to know what was happening. My sister could'nt even read it it wasso awfull

I love the Hebrew pirate elements of this story. it was really good and the story was beautiful.
