This book is about a Catholic girl who becomes a maid for a family of Conversos, who converted from Judaism a long time ago. She wants to like the family, but she becomes suspicious. When the family gets into trouble, she tries her hardest to save them. This book was exciting and informative. I would definitely read more by this author.

This book reflected the 1400's very vividly! Maria was very mean towards Jews in the beginning and very loving and caring at the end when she knew the dangers.

Dont read this if you get sad easily #goodbookeventhoughitssad

This book is great!!!!!!!!!!! The only bad part was that the end, it just left me hanging!!!! I was asking myself, "What happens next?'', but the book was finished.
