This book was kind of short for my liking. I thought it wa alsdo kinda good, it was happy and sad. Those are qualities of a good book.
I didn't just read this book, I felt like I wen't into the book. So amazing! I loved to read it though it was kind of intense at one part.
The book explained the history of the main character's immigration. There was very hard lines taken- either pro immigration or con immigration, in terms of accepting the main character as "really Jewish." Most of the story focused on conflicts with the mother/daughter. I thought the book would be more about the main character's exploration of her own ethnicity and how she identified, and this was more about facing classroom bullies and trying to fit in.
I think that you shouldn't pick this book. I did not knowing that it only had about 80 pages and was very boring. I have read many other good books, but this does not have much different content. It is just about a girl and her changing schools. It has a good cover, but don't let you fall into the trap. I do not recommend this book.
