Ahh! So great. It can get a little intense and sad at times but just amazing! Unpredictable. It is brilliant, beautiful storytelling with characters you just fall in love with. But be prepared to cry. It's still very sad but the amazingness overpowers the sad parts. I was blown away! I showed it to my English teacher and she agreed it was beautiful! A true work of art.
Thumbs up! This was a really good book, I would recommend it! The story was very intense, I nearly cried at the end. I love how this book is written, and I will definitely recommend this book to all my friends!! Please read it, you will not regret it! I don’t understand why some people don’t like it. It isn’t too easy and it isn’t too hard. This book has many lessons and it raises awareness about the imperfections in this world, some that need to change. I am definitely going to be more careful and look into child labor more, to see what I can do to help. I read this book in one day! We had pitched a tent in my backyard and I was reading in it during the day, in the tent, through rain and violent winds. Physically COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN for over 2 hours. I finished it first thing the next morning. Warning: I recommend you keep a dictionary handy!!! ;) Such a good book, and that you Jonathan Auxier for writing all that extra-info at the end, in case anyone wants to learn more! A great book for readers that reveals the harsh reality, I know it made me think twice about complaining that I had a cramp, or that I was thirsty!! Just think: here we are, complaining about our parents, complaining about school, about food, etc., and even today, at this time, some kids’s only want is for parents, or parents who don’t abuse them, for nutritious food and plenty of drinkable water, and for school. We have such privileges now a days, but all we do is complain. I will do everything in my power to help these poor kids! :( Again, thank you Jonathan, and please read this book! I was reluctant at first, I thought it would be so bad, but looks can be deceiving, which is another lesson in this story. Please, please, please, I am begging you, read it. You will be happy you did! And spread the word; the world is still a horrible place for most, not only children. We can make a difference, but only if we work together! These people need us, so, as said in Sweep, We save ourselves by saving others. I cannot express in words how insanely incredible this book is, but I think you get the idea. How anyone can not like it is beyond me, I don’t get why it is only at 4 stars! Okay, I will stop now! ;) Thank you if you chose this book. It makes you realize that we kids, now, here, are so so lucky, but others are not, and they need help. We CAN help them, but not if we don’t know about them! Thanks, and bye, this time for real!! ;)
This is one of my most favorite books! I loved it so much. it is fun, sad and, happy at the same time.
Sweep by: Jonathan Auxier is in my top 5 fantasy books! . It is about a sweep named Nan and her char golem Charlie taking in and fighting every challenge that comes there way from running away from a search party, to trying to survive a fire lit by their greatest enemy! I personally think it is a roller coaster of emotion and I also that Nan Sparrow's middle name is girl power!!
This is an AMAZING book!
