I think this is a great book but it's a little sad too so if you don't like sad books then maybe you shouldn't read it but other then that it was great and I would recommend it to kids 9 and up. This was a really good book .I would only recommend it if you don't like historical fiction because it's a sad that it could actually happen, and I wish it was a little longer, but other than that, it was very good.

I loved the part when Hano was hiding for his life,even though it was a little scary.

This book is cute and a little sad. 1939 was harsh. And it's even more harsh for Rudi. And how he had to give his dog to a lady so Hanno could be safe. It's a heart worming story that, well, worms your heart!

I thought this book was great.
