I loved this book, I think more kids should read it. I love my family and my animals they mean a lot to me. It is sad what people old and young had to go through in the past. I love that it teaches about some history at the same time it is telling a terrific story.

so far this book is good i lost it though.

This book is the best because Rudi thought more about his dog than his own safety and he also underestimated how much the people who had taken him in loved him. Also, before they moved from his old home in Russia, he did not realize how much he loved his sister, and mom and dad.

I could not take my eyes out of it!
