I liked this book. It was very good. The only thing that I did not like very much was that it did not really feel like the story started until the very end.
This was a short book and a bit boring for me. It was about a nine year old boy named Rudi who has to leave his family with his sister to England. This book takes place during World War ll. When the Nazis are about to bomb London, a lot of people start to put down their pets. Rudi and some of his friends save some pets by bringing them to safer places. I learned that lots of people put down pets during the war because they couldn’t afford to feed them. I would recommend this book to 7-9 year olds.
Family is important because it makes you realize how much you need your family for support. They know you in a special way. This book also taught me the importance of dogs and how they become part of the family and keep you happy.
A young boy is very close to his dog and when nazi's take over the country and Rudi and his friend run from school and decide that they will never return!
One of the characters looks like my uncle, which was funny. It is nice how Rudi cares so much about his dog, and it's good to learn how to let things go!
