Good book. Really happy ending! Would recommend this more to older kids. A bit sad.

In this book an African-American Jewish girl, named Imani, finds her late, great grandmother’s old diary. All Imani wants for her Bat Mitzvah, is to find out more about her birth parents. From her great grandmother’s diary, she learns that family is anyone who loves and cares about you. The book is awesome and I recommend it!

This book is great!! it showed her grandmother's history and her life together. one of my favorites!! definitely recommended

I liked this book. It showed me how sensitive some people are. And how confusing the road of private adoption can be for the child.
