I cannot express enough how much I LOVVVVVE this book! It was so good that I convinced my mom to read it too, and even she loved it as much as I did! Each chapter is a different tale that switches between different characters of the story. And there are a lot of Jewish themes that even I (a 10 year old) can notice and understand. Right now I'm re-reading the book for a second time because I honestly loved it THAT MUCH. I'm DEFINITELY going to search for more books from Adam Gidwitz! I recommend this book to EVERYONE. Seriously...everyone.
I like the book because there are so many interesting things going on in it. First it talks about Jenne and her visions and how she visualizes Gwenforte standing on her grave. Then it also talks about William and Jacob, each in 1 chapter. It then talks about how they all meet and their adventures together.
It’s a little confusing but I love the story at the beginning. I go back to it every time I read it. My favorite character is gwenforte, the dog. She is really brave
Very good book. Interesting plot, interesting way of telling the story. A very engaging read. Would highly recommend.
