The War I Finally Won is about a 11 year old girl named Ada Smith who had a club foot all her life. She wanted to live in a better place and be away from her terrible mother, but while this was happening, a war was going on. So Ada has to learn how to live during hard times while being in danger of a war. I loved reading this book because it has twists and turns while also being adventurous. I recommend this book to readers who like sad stories with a happy ending.

I love this book. It takes place in England during WW2, Ada struggles to figure out how she can help with the war and protect her younger brother. She also meets Ruth, a Jewish girl from Germany, and their relationship is, … complicated, and … Interesting. This is a great book for anyone who loves historical fiction. (This is the second book in the series.)
