I actually read this book in class, as our schools community read book. I love the author and know her from one of my favorite books from when I was younger The One and Only Ivan. Wishtree has lots of twists and is a good book if you are waiting on another from the library. Its a quick and nice read.

this book is great it is abut a trees life

Wishtree is an excellent book. It's a heart-warming book about a tree, named Red, who is trying to stop the hate against a Samar, but when Red is threatened to be knocked down, can Red's community, their history, and one wish save Red? It has funny parts in between that make the book even more interesting to read, and makes you love all the characters, from Red, to Bongo, to little Flash (Don't call him Flashlight!). By the way, the reason I keep calling Red Red is because Red can be either he or she, so I didn't want to choose. SPOILER BELOW: It has a happy ending!
