Last year, my fourth-grade teacher chose this wonderful book for our read-aloud time. Telling the story from the perspective of a wise old oak tree was original and imaginative. It was also a unique way to share the story's lessons about fear, prejudice, and acceptance in the human world. Whether you love fantasy or realistic fiction, you will adore this story.
Wishtree is an amazing story. I love Red and all his friends. His story is so interesting! And all the little pictures in the book are so adorable! I would recommend this book to anyone. It’s truly an amazing book!
I like this book because the tree can talk and it told an interesting story. Why does someone write "leave" on the tree? Why did Maeve come to America? Is something bad happening in Ireland?
This book is about an old red oak tree named Red who was the neighborhood's Wish Tree. He observes the people in the neighborhood but never speaks. He is home to many animals, including Bongo, his crow friend. I liked this book because Red had an interesting perspective on the world and the way people treat each other.
A really amazing story! We enjoyed reading 'Wish tree' because in each chapter, we liked seeing animals and plants in their own world. The story full of adventure and we were entertained non-stop. Overall, it was a enchantingly good book and we plan to re-read it soon!
