The beginning was really good, but it just got confusing, they are put in separate homes, they get baptized, and it feels like she's lost a part of herself every chapter. It was really confusing and I would not recommend it.
I really liked this book. It was the longest book I have read here, has lots of details. The only thing wrong is I saw some inappropriate words. Everything else is fine.
It was interesting
It was good but I have read too many other Holocaust books recently so it was kind of boring
This was a great book and kept me hooked until the very last page. It was incredible to see Stephie navigate this tricky situation, and gave me a lot to think about. There is just one thing that bothered me: I did not like how Stephie and her younger sister Nellie grew so apart. It wasn't very satisfying as a reader, and I would have liked things to go differently for them. But, then again, maybe that's just be. Apart from that, though, this is an excellent book and a must read!
