I loved it in ways I cannot describe. I learned a lot about that time period and Sweden, including the fact that they have a cultural dish where they combine a whole fish with jelly...gross!

A Faraway Island is about sisters Stephie and Nellie, who must leave their parents in Austria because it's too dangerous for them to stay. They travel to Sweden, where they are separated from each other. This book describes Stephie's troubles fitting in and taking care of Nellie. This book is great for people who like reading historical fiction.

I loved this book! It's very engaging and I didn't want to put it down. It's about two sisters: Stephie and Nellie, who leave Vienna to flee the Nazis. They come to Sweden, and are put in separate famalies. Nellie's family is warm and friendly, while Stephie's family is lonely and strict. Nellie fits in with her new surroundings easily, while Stephie cannot. I reccomend reading this book to find out what happens next!
