I thought this book was good.

I really liked the book A Faraway Island! I particularly enjoyed how they learned to settle down in a new area. I would recommend this book for people who like books that involve immigrants or historical fiction fans.

I personally thought that this book was OK It's kind of hard to read, and the main character was wallowing in self pity the whole book which made me dislike her. Though I can't really blame her to bad because I've never lived through that. But I usually read all my books twice within a month but I could barley get through it once.

This was probably one of the best historical fiction novels that I have EVER read!!! I would recommend this book to anyone who like historical fiction or people age 9+. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ. Also, the ending wants to make you read the sequels! (yes, there are 3 sequels)
