This is a really good book about a girl and her life. It is very funny, but also A LITTLE bit emotional. When I first saw this book on PJ our way, I really wanted it. I was right.
This is a good book but it really needs more detail. The reason I didn't give this a 3 is because I like reading these diary types of books. This book needs way more detail.
Amelia was funny, weird, and funny again throughout the whole book. Not too good, not too bad.
I'd love to read the other Amelia books, I have a feeling that they might be better. Some parts of this book were strange, like Amelia's relationship with her sister and even the basic plot line. I definitely felt this book lacked Jewish content. Surprised it made it on PJ Our Way. But it was a funny, charming book, Amelia is a pretty realistic character and the quirky, hand-done text adds a lot. Having read none of the other Amelia books I felt like I was missing something, but the basic idea was understood. A completely fine, enjoyable story, go for it, but only if nothing else looks better!
This book was cool but kind of easy. I recommend it to grades 3-4.
