This is an awesome story. Molly has always lived in America. She hasn’t met her mom’s family who lives in Israel. She only speaks English but her grandparents can only speak Hebrew. Is it going to be hard to communicate and understand her grandparents Molly thinks.
Great book I think girls would like it more.
I like this book because Molly met the rest of her family. I felt that the title "Pickled Watermelon" wasn't a good choice because it was only mentioned about six times in the story and was a small detail. I enjoyed the story and it was interesting. And I learned a lot about Israel as I was reading about Molly's first trip there.
Meh, I am more into actions then stories. Also, very BORING because there is about 0% action.
I really liked how this book took you into Molly’s life, and how she finally realized how much she loved her family. I think that the lesson was do not think about your family in Israel as people that you will not relate with till, you meet them.
