"Echo Still" is the story of Fig, a normal, Jewish, 12-year-old 7th grader who loves to play soccer. He thinks his science teacher hates him and his dad is forcing him to go to Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes which he thinks are boring. At the beginning, Fig’s character is portrayed as someone who is selfish and a showoff. However, I believe he changes when his grandmother comes to visit and when he goes to Tony’s house on Christmas instead of helping at the soup kitchen. This novel is targeted towards young teens or tweens. by Zoe, National Design Team
