This book was awesome! You need to read it! It is about a boy in France during World War II. He meets a girl who he finds out is Jewish. The French don't like the Jewish. He becomes friends with her. Something happens in the book to make her and her family flee. Can Marcel (the main character) help her before she gets caught and departed?

This is a great book. It's stuffed full with adventure and wonder. Germans take over France. Gestapo officers and Nazis take over France. Nazis in Paris. Run away Jews. It's not safe here. Run to Spain and Portugal...

I absolutely loved this book. I read it in two nights.

Great book involves bread messages, French resistance, broken wagon wheels lots of tour de France facts - huzzah!
