I love that it taught me more about Jewish history. I could imagine myself being Marcel.

This book made me think more about being Jewish in the time period it was set. I can relate it to the challenges some people of different races face... even today.

It was awesome!!!!!!!!! I could not put it down. It is about Marcel who is not actually Jewish. He is protecting a Jewish friend who is trying to escape the nazis while his parents are rebelling against nazis and breaking laws, but of course they do not care. And also one day a nazi came into his school asking about his friend. Read to figure out how his parents are doing that and how he saves his friend.
