Great story

Good book that I couldn't stop reading and was funny. We need more stories like this.

Enjoyed it!

Review by Reader22

Similar to other PJ books I've read, but interesting enough to finish, I may even read it again! The main character is sweet, funny and pretty insightful, the plot is so-so, but with enough twists to keep me guessing. If you usually enjoy realistic fiction with plenty of humor, then this is the book for you!

Pretty good!

Review by ollielove

David is worried about a lot of things, especially being bombed by the Soviets! That's why he's agreeing to help build an underground bunker with a boy from school, Scott. But Scott doesn't like David's best friend, Hector. And David still doesn't know how he can talk to Kelli Ann, a girl from school! He's also worried about his two grandmothers, because one is Chinese and does not normally keep kosher, but the other is Jewish and does keep kosher. On top of that, David's bar mitzvah is coming up, and his family doesn't have the money for a really fancy one. David wants to please both his grandmothers while staying in the budget. But since they're fighting all the time, it's pretty hard. This is a funny story that I thought was really well written.
