Alright so if you don't want to read this wall of text let me give you a summary: this book is amazing, you should totally read it. There WILL and I mean there WILL be a point in this book where you say "yeah, I can relate to that." I did not expect to like this book. On the outside, it looks like a book about a kid who's arrogant and makes bad choices but "hE's GooD aT hEArT!!!" But no. This is possibly the best piece of literature I have ever read and I am not kidding when I say I haven't even finished it. It's not fancy and all, and it's not meant to be. That's the point of it. It's written so that you don't have to struggle to understand what it's saying. It's right there on the page. There is so much meaning in this book, but it is in no way hidden. Twerp follows a sixth-grade boy who writes about recent experiences to get out of English assignments. The first half of the book is mainly just shenanigans he and his friends get up to (still worth reading because it's hilarious) but it really kicks off when Julian writes a love letter to a girl for his friend. The girl thinks that Julian was the one who the letter was from, and she starts talking to him more often and his friend gets mad and stops talking to him. I haven't even read past that part but there's a buildup throughout the story where you're waiting for him to tell a story about "Danley Dimmel" who he got suspended for harming in some way. I am literally clueless about what actually happens but I am definitely on the edge of my seat rn. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this rant. Also, dating is not inappropriate for 12 year olds (I'm 12) so I don't want to see people complaining about that.
My one thought after reading this book: crazy, but amazing.

Not bad.I feel bad for the pigeon that got hurt.
Good book, I got hiccups after I read this because I was laughing so hard. But I didn’t like the relationships in this book at all. The focus on the dating at the start of the book didn’t seem appropriate for my age. (Age 12) This book is ok, but not the best.
