This book was so good it grabbed you and just WOW
It was one of the best books I have ever read! I loved it so much! My favorite part was when Katie Roberts was working in her treehouse (well... she was in her treehouse quite a few times). She was kind of rude to boys when she said that they aren't aloud in her treehouse but I loved the book anyway. I kind of wish I was in the story so that I could have some of Sam's DELICIOUS pancakes(well... Katie said they are delicious,I do hope she is right for my taste buds). Another reason why I would like to be in the story to see Billy and Seymour walking. I think that my least favorite part was when Katie stole her mother's lipstick. There is also a question I have: why didn't Rudy show Katie's pictures of Minneapolis to the class?
This book was alright. I can understand the appeal of the book, but I wasn't the sort of thing I found interesting. Katie acted much younger than she actually was, and sometimes I wished she would just grow up.
Does your mom bug you? Does life just get frustrating? If so, this book is for you! Katie talks about how she just gets sad, mad, glad, and tons of other feelings swirling around. New dad, new diner, far away adult friend, and worst of all, NEW BABY. With an IES attached, making it BABIES. What's worse, her mother (to me) seems mean and unfair. Whoever is around nine or ten would like this, but if you are eleven or older, this will probably be very boring. Also, girls would probably get it more than boys.
This was a good but easy book. I recommend this book to ages 8-10. Would read more books by the author.
