In this book, Gustave has to flee his beloved home in the city of Paris and leave behind his best friend, Marcel, and his first cousin, Jean-Paul along with their families to the countryside. Then suddenly, Paris is taken over by the Nazis. I don't want to spoil the rest, because it's a really good book. YOU MUST READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book taught me more about jewish history and our heritage.
I loved this book! It made me feel like I am the luckiest Jewish girl ever. This book was deep. It was not a fairytale but it still has a semi sweet ending.
I loved this book. I liked that it had a lot of suspense in it. It talks about the life of a Jew and his experience in trying to survive.
I like this because I felt a lot of emotion. You could tell when the main family was upset, confused, happy, or scared.
