This is a GREAT book, if I could I would put 10⭐'s. The main character, Gustave, must move from Paris to a small town named Saint-Georges in France, but when he gets there problems start, half of France has been taken over by the Nazis! Plus, Gustave's friend, Marcel, and Gustive's cousin Jean-Paul, are on the half that has been taken over by the Nazis! Gustave and his stuffed animal Monkey watch as more and more red paint covers Gustave's map of England, the red paint of where the Nazis have gained territory! If you don't read this exciting book, your missing out on a lot!

I loved this book! I think that many people would be inspired by what the jews went through in world war 2, Paris, France. If want to know more read the amazing book, "Black Radishes!"

This book is really moving. The narrator really shows how the character felt and it taught me a lot about being Jewish.
