It’s very emotional. It makes you really think about how Katie feels on the subject of her mom remarrying. The letters she sends to her pen pal are a nice touch.

Overall this book was good but I noticed a month after reading this I could not remember a single thing. This book did not grasp my attention. ):

My favorite part of the book is when the two kids escape and go to New York City and get caught. HILARIOUS!!

It shows the real meaning of family. Even though Katie was mad at her mom she learned to like it on the farm. This book shows that if you are in a fight you can always talk it out.
